Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs in the North Forest Independent School District provide an array of opportunities for students. The curriculum is designed to give students “hands on” real world applications and relevant learning. In the high tech world of today, the student’s use of existing and emerging technologies is a critical part of their education.
The State Plan for Career and Technical Education is based on the premise that a rigorous academic foundation contributes to success. All students should be provided equal opportunities to succeed, and Career and Technical Education should complement and enhance academic preparation, by enabling students to apply academic principles and technological skills to a variety of career situations.
Tech Prep and Dual Credit allows students to begin earning college credit while in high school. Many courses offered through the CTE Department will articulate college credit through these programs.

• Agriculture All students enrolled in North Forest Independent School District are given a career interest and aptitude assessment in order to provide a focus for skill development. This information is available for review to assist students in making meaningful career choices and decisions. Resources are available to students and parents.
