Three candidates will vie for two open positions on the North Forest ISD Board of Trustees in the Nov. 2 election. Positions 6 and 7 on the elected board will be decided in the fall election.
Mrs. Carolyn Bullard-Williams and Mr. Henry McGowen both qualified to run for the position 6 seat on the Board of Trustees. Mrs. Bullard-Williams, 53, who now serves on the Board of Managers, is an administrative assistant. Mr. McGowen, 59, is self-employed.
Meanwhile, Mr. Horace Williams, Jr. faces no opposition in his bid for the position 7 seat. Mr. Williams, 48, is a teacher.
In order to vote in the NFISD Board of Trustees election, residents must be registered by Oct. 4, 2010.
Early voting starts on Monday, Oct. 18 and continues through Friday, Oct. 29. Residents can apply for mail ballots as early as Friday, Sept. 3. All mail ballots must be received by Oct. 26.
