MISSION
The mission of the Department of Federal and State Programs is to assist our students and educators in achieving the highest level of learning and teaching imaginable. Implementation and administration of this mission is accomplished via federal and state policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Department of Federal and State Programs has the responsibility of adhering to and enforcing federal and state regulations. To do so the department works in conjunction with the Department of Education and the Texas Education Agency. Below is a list of the major responsibilities of the department: 

• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines 
• Maintaining and monitoring district and campus utilization of federal and state funds 
• Maintaining and monitoring instructional initiatives utilizing federal and state funds 
• Provide quality oversight of state compensatory funds (SCE) and discretionary grants

In addition to the aforementioned federal and state responsibilities, The Department of Federal and State Programs believes it has the ethical responsibility to afford every student the opportunity of having a sound infrastructure to attain quality skills and knowledge necessary for successful futures.
